The Hobbit in 48fps

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will not be widely released in its new 48fps format. 48 frames per second is twice the normal speed, and it makes things look completely different than 24 frames per second. That is why the comic con footage was not shown in 48fps, because there were worries that the audience might not like it. This winter, if the move-goers like what they see, the second and third movies will be much more widely released in 48fps. Unfortunately, chances are, we will have to wait a while to see this high frame rate footage.
