Reviews For The Hobbit

Here is a post about the reviews for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. It has a Metascore of 58 (20 positive, 18 mixed, 2 negative), which is not so good, being in the yellow. However, it has a User Score of 8.5, which is excellent. Everyone, even the down-right pessimistic movie-haters, loved the confrontation between Gollum (Andy Serkis) and Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman). Overall, the critics thought that the film was too flamboyant and grandiose. Those who liked it a lot also admitted that is was not quite as spectacular as The Lord of the Rings trilogy, nor did all its new formats best the traditional film.
