Dwarves, wargs, and orcs - drawn in amazing detail

Nick Keller recently posted concept art he did for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. It is fantastic. No expense was spared in designing the costumes, makeup, scenes, and just about everything else that appeared in An Unexpected Journey. Looks a little like an alien. Anyways, this is a piece of artwork done by Andrew Baker, a creature and character designer at Weta Workshop. The selection he posted on his blog is particularly interesting because it includes several designs that were never used. It is even more interesting because it includes a lot of designs that were used. I hope you enjoy!

The detail is stunning, and one could spend hours staring at the colorful portraits, pencil sketches, and diagrams of the various weapons. It is well worth a look!
