Instead of publishing five or more posts about these images and forcing you to give my blog four or five extra pageviews, I will collect all the most recent posters, stills, artwork, and other pictures in one place, where you can view them at your leisure. Included are five photoshoots, seven stills, seven posters, and the new artwork for the soundtrack of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.

These are international posters, and the text is in Spanish, but it is the images we are interested in. The posters feature, Bilbo, Gandalf, Bard the Bowman, Fili, Kili, Thorin Oakenshield, Tauriel, Thranduil, and Legolas. Check them out beyond the break!

"If you awaken that beast..."

Here is the third TV Spot for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. While it does not contain any new scenes, it does feature some all-new dialogue from Thranduil, Gandalf, and Bilbo. It is definitely better than the previous TV Spots, and I would even go as far as to say it is more thrilling the trailer, especially the music, which is also new.

Now when I say high resolution, I mean high resolution. The dimensions of this image are 4896 x 3264 pixels, so it may take a while for this image, which is posted beyond the break, to load. We have Herr-der-ringe-film.de to thank for this picture of Bilbo suffering from a slight cold soon after he and the dwarves arrived in Laketown aboard barrels. 

Four entirely new stills from the 2014 The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Calendar!

Unlike the previous calendar, which seemed to introduce all the important characters by devoting entire pages to individuals, next year's calendar has a little more depth. Now that everyone has been introduced, we can go beyond the basic smiley pose that we see so often and get some action and emotion. See for yourself in the four new images beyond the break.

Today is the 22 of September, an anniversary of many daring deeds, fantastic events, and the date of birth of our two favorite hobbits. Happy birthday to Bilbo and Frodo Baggins!

Thorin, Bilbo, and the interior of Erebor!

Here is some awesome new key artwork that apparently will be the cover art of a new puzzle game. However, all copies of this images have been removed from the merchant sites. ??? That is a question for another day. For now, you can just go beyond the break and see the full image for yourself. 

Slowly yet surely the filming of the Hobbit movies comes to a close,

as one by one the actors say they farewells after a job well done. Now it is time for Martin Freeman to say goodbye to Bilbo. Peter Jackson recently posted this photo on his Facebook page, and noted that

"Tonight Martin Freeman finished his last shot as Bilbo Baggins. The end of an incredible two and a half years. I cannot imagine anyone else in this role – a character that Martin has nurtured and crafted with love and great skill.

We have said goodbye to our elves, humans, wizards and now the hobbit. We now enter our final 2 weeks of pick-ups, and it’s wall to wall dwarves. These pick-ups have been gruelling and intense, but I’m so happy with what we’ve been shooting. These next two movies are going to be pretty great!"

Luke Evans and Graham McTavish have also completed their roles as Bard the Bowman and Dwalin.

made for you by Gentle Giant. Holding Sting and bearing a serious expression, Bilbo is the third 1:6 scale bust made in the Hobbit line. Standing 14cm (5.5in) tall, this rather imposing hobbit is capable of staring down any who oppose him.

The latest and greatest collectible from the Weta Workshop!

Here are Bilbo's Acorn Buttons! Made from pure zinc and just 2cm (0.8in) in diameter, these are exact replicas of the buttons that flew off Bilbo's waistcoat while he was squeezing through the crevice! These buttons are sure to brighten up any waistcoat you choose to put them on!

Just in from the Weta Workshop!

This is just the first of a new line of barrel-riding figures from the Weta Workshop which are scheduled to be released in the lead up to The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. As always, this fine piece of art is handpainted and its quality is assured. The statue is 6.8cm (2.7in) tall and its base has a diameter of 10.5cm (4.1in).

And the bluest, too! From just watching the movies, or even by reading The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, you find very little concerning the history of Sting. It takes a great deal of delving into the Appendices and the more obscure Tolkien texts to piece this sword's complicated history together. Thankfully, you will not have to do that. MTV Movie Awards just announced that Bilbo Baggins has won the Best Hero of 2012 award. Fans from all over the world sent in their votes through Twitter and Instagram. I am sure many of you participated in the 1,637,179 tweets and the thousands of photos that that helped Bilbo Baggins soundly beat Snow White, Batman, Catwoman, Ironman, and the incredible Hulk by well over a hundred thousand votes. 

Help Bilbo win the MTV Movie Award for the Best Hero of 2012

Tweet #votebilbo using your Twitter account or send a picture with the hashtag through your Instagram account, but do whatever you have to to help Bilbo win! Unbelievably, he is being challenged by none other than Snow White! Make sure Bilbo does not have to suffer such an embarrassing defeat. (So vote as much and as often as you can)

Now, before you go and read the rest of this post, I want to warn you of potential SPOILERS that may ruin your experience of watching The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. The following image shows Bilbo and Kili sitting in what appears to be the house of Beorn. I also want you to know that I do not have any official affirmation that this photo is real. I found it  posted on the timeline of the Fili - Brasil Facebook Page, and even they were not 100% sure it is from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. For the purposes of this post, however, we will assume that it is.

Here is the second part to A (Guessed) Preview Into The Desolation of Smaug! Once again, I will give you summaries of the chapters in The Hobbit that I think will be covered in the movie, and then discuss various picturess. I tried to divide the posts equally (so there will be four chapters covered in this one also), but this one may be shorter as there are not very many photos left. However, do not let that discourage you from reading the rest of this post!
