The human face of the shape-shifter Beorn has finally been revealed!

Here is photo from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Annual 2014, which shows Mikael Persbrandt fully outfitted in makeup, with a beard and hair that exceeds in size even those of the dwarves. MAJOR SPOILERS!

LOTRProject created an interesting little quiz that tells you which character from The Hobbit you are most like. I took it, and it turns out that I am most like Gandalf the Grey. I found that really interesting because Gandalf was the only wizard who delved into hobbit lore. It was he only who cared anything for the race of hobbits, and without him, Bilbo would never have gone on his quest, nor would have Frodo. The results of npr's annual summer reader's survey of the top 100 teen books have come in. Not surprisingly, The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien, came in fifth. The Lord of the Rings, by the same author, came in seventh. Below you can see the top ten.
